I'm late to this. The flu has swept through our house to the point I didn't touch the internet! *gasp* I know, blasphemy ;)

What is the title of the thin black book on the top of the stack? Is it Ivanhoe?

There's something about the smell and sight of old books that stirs my soul. I've had several jobs in bookstores, my favorite being an independent bookstore in Edmonton, Alberta. Living the days amongst the stacks, then going home and curling up on the sofa with a book with a warm cuppa and a cookie, then starting it all over again--bliss. I have this crazy dream that someday I'll live in a house with one of those neat old libraries with shelves to the ceiling filled with books, a sliding ladder, a fireplace, comfy, overstuffed chairs and a windowseat. The perfect environment for a life of reading!

Little men has always been a favorite. Your give-away copy is beautiful. Well suited in a library such as described above,as are the others, yes? ;o)

Moonshadow - one entry per person, so if you're not sure if you entered before, go ahead and enter again, it can't hurt.

I love this blog, and I love the Little Men edition! Gorgeous. Though I do wonder - do you read any of the books yourself (that is, not just the bookmarks!)?

I've worked three bookstores and it is fun for me to find things in books too. As a book collector, I post my findings over on LibraryThing.com:

(I'm the person who publishes the photos)

I have quite a few interesting things I've found, but I usually leave them in the book!
