Man's Fate Is Delicious

Recipe for cheese cake:

II)

1 lb cottage cheese
3 egg yolks
3 tbs. flour
1 c. sugar
pinch salt
1/2 c. milk

Beat egg whites until stiff fold into batter

Bottom:

I)

1/2 c. butter or crisco and cream with 1/3 c. sugar, 1 egg and 1 cup flour, 1 t. vanilla.

Pour batter in and bake 350 degrees 45 min until done (shake, if solid it is done)

  2. Some of your younger readers may wonder why the recipe is printed in blue. In the days before photocopiers, duplicating machines were used in offices and schools. Most of the ink was this blue color.

  3. The blue/purple "ink" was produced on what was commonly known as a ditto machine. It didn't actually use ink. As a matter of fact, in a pinch, rubbing alcohol and standard carbon paper would work. The technical name was spirit duplicator. Those that remember this process know the smell then recognize the print. BUT there were also colored sheets and even black but they did print as dark. Before getting my first computer I picked up a ditto machine at a 2nd hand store and used it in doing my genealogy research. http://theyalwayscomeback.blogspot.com/2008/02/ditto-machine.html
