Came across this book today, thought you all might get a kick out of it. It's "Cyberbooks" by Ben Bova - from 1990:

  2. Haha, this is amazing!
On a somewhat related note: this is why I love Jules Verne- he was so ahead of his time, what he described in books seemed far fetched/sci-fi at the time, but look where we are now.

  3. What a silly and fun find! Transfering books by phone! So crazy. I do love when writers guess at something that comes true. Although he was wrong in one sense. Paper isn't dead.

  6. I've met Mr. Bova (I was presenting him with an award) and we actually talked about this book. He said he was glad he was wrong about paper being dead and that he honestly was as surprised as anyone that e-books had grown so far so fast. I must say, I had never seen the cover though, that was priceless.
