I agree that is one awesome photo! Talk about a slice of history. It's amazing to see them all dressed in their best clothes and with such beautiful smiles.
I feel for the darling little girl with the braces on her legs (POLIO). Although she seems to be enjoying herself like the other kids are, I wonder if she would have preferred to hide her legs somehow. In my era (the 1950's) the little girl in our class who had a brace on one leg was allowed to wear pants while it was strictly dresses for the rest of us.

That is a wonderful photo.........I always wish I knew more about your finds..who, when, where, how.......you just know there is a story behind this.
Oh gosh, what a cute photo.
It's totally adorable. Norman Rockwell quality. Easily in my top 5 forgotten bookmarks.
That is adorable! I think the girl in front has a crush on the boy to her right.
I want to know more about the book!
With a title like that, it's got to be good....
furth, it's a kid's book from the 30s, Gumpy is a dog. The secondary title is "The Story of a Little Sled Dog With a Big Heart."
I think that's Gumpy there, on the right on the end! He's my FAVORITE!
