We have attended General Conference for two days and are going back Thursday.Found in "Richelieu - A Tale of France" by G.P.R. James. Published by Dent/Dutton, 1911.
Monday night we heard Wm. J. Bryan speak on Suffrage. Tues. I met Frank L. Brown of N.Y. and had a visit with him. He is on the same comm. with W.D. Southworth.

I love this, it's so fascinating! I've been wanting to ask, what do you do with the items you find, beyond photographing and blogging about them? Have you ever tried to find anyone to give them back to?

I have given a few things away, like the four leaf clovers, but I generally just store them. I have tried contacting people many times, for the most part, they tell me to keep them.

This would be from the 1916 Methodist General Conference. The NY Times has an article that mentions Bryan's speech, which was about temperence, women's suffrage, and ending the war. The clipping is here.

I haven't visited for a couple of days and I got a pleasant surprise with the re-design of the page not that I didn't like the other one too . . .

This is historic. What do you eventually do with something like this? Is it saleable, auctionable or just a piece of history for a museum?
If I post an item here, I keep it. In general, if I find postcards, photos, etc... I will just put a few bucks on it and sell it at the store. There have been a few items of note I've given to local historical societies.
This is just a wonderful find. Such a piece of history.
