A Book of Thought

Greeting card:

Hi. Hope this finds you in good health. Our Christmas was quiet. Gary and his family were here. Enjoy watching their faces as they open their gifts.

The weather has been warm down here. The weather reports for upper NY are unbelieveable. Take care of yourself.

Thank you for the verse and your mother's announcement. The verse was new to me, one that I would choose for myself. I will put both in my box of memories.

Enclosed you will find a book of thought you might want to read.

Found in "The Epic of Gilgamesh" translated by Maureen Gallery Kovacs. Published by Stanford University Press, 1992.

Elinor Bening is at Pillsbury Manor now + I hope Carol can take me to see her there sometime.

They said it was the coldest one since a record was made.

Now I can't see what I have written

Much love,
Mother

Time Marches On

Found this really neat photo Christmas / New Years card from 1947. There are two photos (I especially like the Father Time and Baby New Year theme of the first one) with a small attached calendar. You can see the entire card in the short video below.
