Experiment Update

Here's an update regarding this post.

The gentlemen finally came in to pick up his cash. He wasn't sure about the photo, but indicated that it's most likely from Geneseo NY, where the books were kept for many years. An uncle in the family passed away, and he was clearing out the house when he came across these books.

It appears that the picture is glued to the 'frame'. Is that correct? There is a solution that can be used to remove the glue, always a possiblity that there's something written on the back of the photo.

I'm intrigued by the previous poster's comment. He may be right about writing on the back.

As a lover of books and long forgotten trinkets, I've become a follower on your blog. I can't wait to see what else you stumble upon!

I am so glad I found you! (via the blog Smacksy). It's like having the best of working in a used book store, without aggravating my dust allergy.
(My most poignant find: In a lighthearted silly romance, a card for an oncology brain surgeon appointment.)
