  1. Hi There,

Just stumbled across your blog today. What a lovely idea! I have a small collection of vintage books, and in one of medieval verse, I found lovely little notes written on old prescription paper. Someone had given the book as a present, and had included the notes within the pages. I sometimes like to think that the notes were left in there for me!

  3. wow.. just amazing. I stumbled upon your blog randomly and must say I am in love. One of my favorite joys in life is pulling an old book off the shelf and finding a token or memento from when I last read it.

Thank you for this beautiful and historic collection.

  4. Oh, blogofnote this is just marvellous. I'm not sure whether this is curing me of or reinforcing to disabling proportions my fear of leaving things behind in books.

  5. Great blog. My first real job was at a dry cleaning establishment. Your blog about finding treasures in the pages of rare books reminds me of those days and the kinds of things I used to find in people's pockets. There are stories abounding in our world for people who take the opportunity to see them.

  6. I stumbled upon your blog through the blogofnote, and I must say I'm glad I did! I love how you document what you find in these pieces of history. It seems that what people leave behind in books are more interesting then the books themselves. I'm definately going to check every book before I give it away. Great, great blog.

  8. I just came across your site on Blogs of Note. Love it.
I had an Auntie who used to mark the pages in her books with various objects we even found £5 notes in some!

  9. I have to agree with the other commenters - what an intriguing idea for a blog. I also happen to be a bibliophile who works in a library. We also find all kinds of things in books, mostly more mundane things. But, one of the things i do at the library is I handle all the books that are donated. Many of those are old books that end up in our booksale. I find all kinds of intriguing old things between the pages of these books. Usually I leave them there for the person who buys the book to find. LOVE your blog. So glad you were highlighted in Blogs of NOte.

  20. What a cool blog-found you on blog of note. I love old books and finding stuff left in them is such a bonus! I have an old cookbook of my grandmother's that has some of her handwritten recipes in it-a treasure for me! Once I found a detention slip from Bob Jones University in a book-I think that was the most interesting find for me.
