  1. Oh please! I have a '40s edition of the Tenniel illustrated Alice (it was Mom's), but stupidly brought it with me on a babysitting job many years ago, and several pages got shredded by enthusiastic uncoordinated hands...

  3. PLEASE HEAR MY CALL!!! Alice in Wonderland is my favourite book of all times, with my collection of about 30 versions coming from all over the world. I have a french, Hebrew and Dutch version and an ever-expanding pile of beautifully illustrated pop-up versions. Please consider this a very serious and passionate plea. My passion for all things Alice extends to ornaments, jewellery, clothingv and bags, but above all is my love for Mr Carroll's beautiful written word. If you're looking for his more widely read and dedicated fan, an admirer of his equisite gift, you've found it in me. Please please please... it would be appreciated so very much. Thanks for this opportunity, Tahlia

  21. I have a copy of This Vanishing Land by Hildegard Flanner; when I opened it at the bookstore, it contained a small note card on which Ms. Flanner had written a note to accompany her gift of the book to a certain editor/ publisher of a well known west coast periodical. When I contacted said editor/publisher to see if the book had somehow got lost from his library with an offer to return it, he declined and sent me a copy of the periodical, which I took as hush money. And so I have hushed til now. Anyway the Heritage Carroll would be a welcome addition to my other Heritages. love your blog btw.
